L I V E :
"I really enjoyed your sound. It was pretty awesome, great! The sound was unreal. Cool group." - Krissie Harris (Oakton Col. talent-buyer)
"Preston Klik's Ritual is wonderful! I like your music and the way you present it: all of you look and sound as individuals, which also makes your performance a great show. Circue du Soleil involves the same kind of music that you do. I am strongly impressed, and even enthusiastic! - Inna
"Preston I LOVE what you are doing ... baby baby baby. Let's do a really cool double bill sort of thing" - Fareed Haque
"Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Aw, yeah! Great for dancing. One big party mix. Really fun, lots of energy." - Literati
"I really like Juno Reactor, FSOL, Aphex Twin so POINTY TEETH was right up my alley... You guys packed the place, you had 'em dancing too!" - Brent B, booker
"Preston's, really puts on one heckuva show. His ability to attract and orchestrate Interesting People Doing Interesting Things keeps manifesting itself, and manifested in a truly remarkable PRESTON KLIK'S RITUAL show tonight. A wonderful evening!" - Rajiv
" There is nothing I, or any planner, appreciate more than an act that is willing to work with their clients to make an event happen. The music, the tempo, the look of the band, Preston's attention to details... his energy level reverberated throughout the room. The show was rockin'! I was also very impressed by the amount of fun the band had on stage. The best BMG Music event we've ever had." - Activities Event Specialists
"Small, tight, potent! The DJ added interesting rhythmic texture with the scratching. The visuals had the patented "Preston-Eye-Candy" impact. A lot of stage presence. " - Jason K
"Pointy Teeth created a tapestry as each song painted a story for the audience. I was so happy --a really fun show." - Scrfclamb
"This was the first time folks actually stuck around to hear the band and also the photo thing was amazing!!" - Krissie Harris (Oakton Col. talent-buyer)
"I call PRESTON KLIK'S RITUAL "organica". It's got all the elements that endear me to electronica while defying the common criticism that the form is clinical and emotionless." - P Hyde
"Pointy Teeth's trancey, dancable sound added a welcome departure from our standard fare of folk, indie, and punk influenced rock at Carleton College. Students used the phone to call their friends to tell them to come down. The act was friendly, communicative, easy to work with, and put on a great show. Are they a band or a DJ? The sound included samples and scratch pads, plus live percussion, voice, and fun musical instruments. I would be glad to work with them again." - Angela McLaughlin, Ass't Dir. of Campus Activities, amclaugh@acs.carleton.edu
"POINTY TEETH, delivered freaky electronica that sounded like the music to a buddy cop movie about an absinthe-addicted fallen angel and Catholic-schoolgirl turned killer-cyborg who have teamed up to fight crime in a neon-encrusted future world. That's a compliment, by the way. Their heavy bass and drumbeats was flung together in ever more creative ways by Preston Klik. Singer / dancer / scratcher DJ Carbon Star called out a series of sounds that donıt quite form words. Scat forb the new millennium. She danced mechanically but rhythmically, a spangled angel for the masses. Preston played several different instruments, some of which are so bizarre Iım not sure they even have names." - NUVO Mag (Indianapolis IN)
"Preston and Desiree (DJ Carbon Star) are absolutely amazing to watch live. Dez's beautiful voice and "scratching" combined with Preston's sampler wizardry is a show not to be missed." - 3D Productions
"Each song blended seamlessly into the next without a break, but each was recognizable and quite able to stand by itself. Above all, the PRESTON KLIK'S RITUAL show was exciting." - centerstage chicago
"I was struck by PT's energy, enthusiasm, and sexy nasty Portisheadish / Red Snapperish / Prestonian vibe" - David Young
"POINTY TEETH kicked ass. The demo CD was OK, but not at all representative of what I saw. There's no way I can adequately express the amount of positive feedback I got on you guys. "Oh my God, that was INCREDIBLE" might be a reasonable average paraphrase ... astounded as to how plugged into each other you seemed to be." - UIUC talent buyer
"A really big PRESTON KLIK'S RITUAL sound in the room, transforming it into an interdimensional dancehall." - The Zebulun
"Eight out of ten of my friends agree -POINTY TEETH f***ing rocks." - Mystechs
"PRESTON KLIK'S RITUAL knows how to captivate an audience. They know how to solo, and they know how to listen and play as an ensemble. So rare, but so imperative. PRESTON KLIK'S RITUAL is beautiful, refreshing. Musicians that know how to play their instruments."

PRESTON KLIK'S RITUAL (a/k/a POINTY TEETH) is a "live pa" of trance / dance music performed by Preston Klik and his guests. Preston invites "special guest musicians" to share the stage (vocals, scratch dj, trumpet, guitar, percussion, theremin, violin, cello, sax...) --which makes for some very interesting shows! The band members AND the listeners get tossed to and fro by the exciting rush of moving sounds.
Every show is a unique "live-tronica" performance, whether solo / duo / trio or...(?) The "constant" is the beats / samples / songs, which create an ambience only PRESTON KLIK'S RITUAL (a/k/a POINTY TEETH) can. Whether people dance, or simply watch the performer(s) create new music, this DJ-slash-band takes everybody on a trip.
Good for the body, good for the mind. And good for the heart : PRESTON KLIK'S RITUAL (a/k/a POINTY TEETH) is not cold and emotionless. There's melody and energy and ideas . . . things to see and hear and think about.

R E V I E W S :
"A tapestry of sound that is infectious, thought provoking, movie soundtrack-like, with an aura of mystery. The artistic manipulation of Lee Higg's photos accompanying the cd is almost enough reason to buy it. 4 stars." - Chicago Arts & Entertainment
"Mixing up progressive and goa style trance with trip-hop and even some industrial guitar infusions : very yummy." - Legends
"POINTY TEETH set it ablaze. Enough beats, synthesizers and turntable to keep the rave going until the cows come home. "Sorry", "Heavy", "Baby", and "India" really make the beats count" --Next Magazine (NYC)
"Part FSOL, part Juno Reactor, part leather dominatrix for a sweat-drenched, dawn-climaxing rave fest. Impassioned and exotic, audio that overwhelms your ears and threatens to spill over to your other senses in a sea of synaesthesia. Groovy and hypnotic, Cinema-Tech is the closest you will ever get to having a real whirling dervish land in your pants. - Earpollution
-Mark Teppo, www.earpollution.com
"Cinema-Tech is a shot on target! You feel maturity and a high degree of virtuosity in the writing. POINTY TEETH moves from techno-trance to groovy scratches to breakdance to jungle rhythms and distant Eastern touches to the unltimate trance-industrial song. Each track is a new experience in the wide field of intelligent dance music. Absolutely essential listening!!" - (edited) SideLines www.side-line.com Belgium
"Sounds like 500 sweaty bodies, sparkling body paint, and a hit of ecstasy all rolled into one." - Octopus (Champaign IL)
"Holger Czukay was teased out of semi-retirement by the exciting music that he heard coming out of the Cologne music scene. He hooked up with local beat-meister Dr. Walker and they embarked on a tour wherein they prepared their samples in secret and then put on these fabulous
extemporaneous shows where no-one--not even they--knew quite what would happen next. Listening to POINTY TEETH's Cinema-Tech, I get the sense that a similar extemporaneous creative process is involved. Point is supplied by Preston Klik (My Scarlet Life, Big Hat) on a lot of the instrumentation, while counterpoint comes from the vocal stylings of DJ Carbon Star and the and vinyl torturings of DJ Skeptik. Finally, the rest of us get the chance to hear what happens in the course of an hour in the presence of POINTY TEETH. It never quite what you'd expect!"
"WOW! A great cd! I love the rich textures, the driving industial type sound, cool samples with with gorgeous vocals. Excellent! Kickin', trancy, dreamy dance tracks. This cd is staying in my disc changer for quite awhile! (Fits well in the mix with my Delirium, Orbital, My Scarlet life, and Meatbeat Manifesto cds.)" - dj_cynic
"I've played "Perfect" and everyone liked it. I am surprised by DJ Skeptik's scratching, it's used like it's own instrument. A good example of the growth happening in turntablism." - WZAM-AM
"Exciting and exotic, live electronica, very danceable. I can just imagine how great must be live." - GlitterGrrrls
"Take a stiff dose of dance/pop electronica, stir in a healthy slug of R&B vocals, sensuous singing and scratches, as moody sound effects slither around POINTY TEETH's uptempo rhythms. Edgy, but not cruel." - Keyboard
"Deep Dish, Hybrid, Banco de Gaia, Juno Reactor, Paul Van Dyk, and Underworld have added more emotion and depth to their music, putting a little soul into a dance style that's often cold. POINTY TEETH is warm, emotive, and intelligent. Cinema-Tech is a hybrid that points to the future and delivers the goods." - Patrick Hyde
"...downtempo, break beat, techno, etc. with female vocals that make the compositions even more melodic" - Le Vestibule (Canada)
"Alluring female vocals and dance-ready rhythms. The organic, protean nature transcends the bathos of club music to conjure a headspace mosaic for a weird and wonderful ride." - This Perfect Sound Forever - http://furious.com/perfect/outsight.html.
"Varied, highly disciplined Chicago-based POINTY TEETH delivers a melange of upbeat hip-house, dreamy ambient sounds and burly techno-influenced grooves." The Isthmus (Madison, WI)
"Love the cd, all my "Digital Love Affair" DJs were down with it!" - Jamison (booker, the ANNEX)
"Cinema Tech is creative and eccentric, with loads of talent and energy. This music has a sound of its own!" - The Sentry (Neosho, MO)
